Ordering Your Custom Portrait Painting
Pastel on Archival Paper from Your Photographs
Pastels are composed of a pure pigment and a binder that creates a soft chalk-like medium, with a beautiful color that seems to glow from within. The finest quality archival paper is used giving your masterpiece the best color retention and incredible longevity. The artist works from the client's photograph(s) to create your custom pastel portrait painting. The artist will need a clear reference photograph(s) to complete your painting. Once complete, you will be notified and the portrait will either be presented or shipped at the client's request.
Oil on Canvas from Your Photographs
An oil painting uses pigments that are ground and mixed into a medium of oil. Starting with a quality canvas and the finest oils and brushes, the artist will create a masterpiece from your photograph(s). A clear photograph will be needed as a reference to complete your custom portrait. Once complete, you will be notified and the portrait will either be presented or shipped at the client's request.
Oil on Canvas from a 'Live Sitting'
After the details of your live sitting oil portrait are discussed, you may decide whether to travel to the artist's studio in Carmel, Indiana for your sitting, or to have the artist travel to your location of choice. Reference photos will be taken of the subject and the environment to be painted. Live color sketches and/or paintings will be done at that time. The entire process will take one to two hours. The artist will later complete the painting at her studio within two to six months. Upon completion, a portrait unveiling presentation will be scheduled with you, or shipped to your location upon request. All artist's travel expenses and shipping, if necessary, will be paid by the client.
